Description and registration of the lines of generation and application of knowledge (table of members)
In the Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Constitutional Justice, two lines of knowledge generation and application are cultivated, namely: 1) Protection and defense of human rights at the national and international levels; and, 2) Constitutional justice: origin, transformations, mechanisms and initiation.
Line 1. Protection and defence of human rights at the national and international levels
Its objective is to know, analyze and master the procedures for the defense of human rights; recognize the respect, protection and guarantee of these rights in the light of national and international legislation; as well as to analyze the dynamic character that every legal order must promote in the matter.
The intervention projects related to this LGAC will be developed and linked, fundamentally, among others, to one of the following institutions:
Inter-American Commission on Human Rights;
Inter-American Court of Human Rights;
Judicial Branch of the Federation (District Courts, Collegiate Circuit Courts, Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation and Federal Court of Administrative Justice);
Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation;
National Human Rights Commission;
Ministry of Public Administration;
Miguel Human Rights Center
Line 2. Constitutional justice: origin, transformations, mechanisms and initiation
The jurisprudence emanating from the body in charge of the control of constitutionality performs a function of extraordinary importance in relation to ordinary jurisprudence and the work of judges and magistrates; For this reason, the means of defence to guarantee constitutional regularity will be analysed, as well as those appropriate against the invasion of instances and levels of government, so that, where appropriate, they can be used effectively and efficiently.
With regard to the LGAC of reference, the intervention projects of the students will be linked to and disbursed, among others, in the following dependencies and institutions:
Judicial Branch of the Federation (District Courts, Collegiate Circuit Courts, and Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation);
Congress of the Union (Permanent Commissions of Justice and Constitutional Points, of the Interior and Investigating);
National Institute of Education
