Rogelio de J. Portillo-Velez obtained with honors the B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, Mexico in 2006. His Electrical Engineering Master’s is from Cinvestav-IPN in 2008. After receiving the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cinvestav-IPN, he joined the Universidad Veracruzana as full-time academic. He is author of more than 25 journal articles and 4 registered patents at IMPI. His interests are in scientific and technological developments regarding multirobot systems, grasping and manipulation, robotic teleoperation, innovative mechatronic design, and optimization.
