Oscar Velázquez Camilo, Originally from Tapachula, Chiapas, Mex., he completed his undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering at the Instituto Tecnológico de Orizaba (1997-2001), then completed his Master’s and Doctorate studies in Chemical Engineering Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana – Iztapalapa from 2003-2006 and 2006-2010 respectively, obtaining the Medal of University Merit. He is currently a Full-Time Professor at the Universidad Veracruzana-Faculty of Chemical Sciences, Veracruz Region, where he teaches in the Educational Program of Chemical Engineering and in the Master’s in Applied Engineering. He has published in different indexed and refereed journals with impact factor, as well as several publications in national and international conferences, and has registered three patent developments so far; His research area is focused on the control and automation of particulate processes with distributed parameters through data and image acquisition. He has also developed drying and humidification systems in chemical and food processes, process optimization at the pilot plant and industry level such as sucrose crystallization, dryers, biodiesel production, among others. He is responsible for the Academic Body «Process Engineering and Sustainable Development» (PRODEP-In Consolidation). He has participated in review committees for research projects at national and international conferences (Mexican Academy of Research and Teaching in Chemical Engineering A.C. (AMIDIQ), Engineering and Competitiveness Magazine, V CIBELEC 2012, as well as in public organizations (PROMEP and CONACyT).
