
Héctor Vázquez Leal studied Electronic Instrumentation Engineering at the Universidad Veracruzana, then studied for his master’s and doctorate degrees in Electronics at the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE). He is currently responsible for the academic body of systems modeling and simulation. Dr. Vazquez has a global work of 162 journal articles. In addition to directing 5 doctoral theses, 12 Master’s and 12 Bachelor’s theses, having 850 citations, belonging to the National System of Researchers with level II, State Award for Science and Technology (Engineering) of Veracruz in 2020 and being a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences. He belongs to the editorial committee of 4 journals indexed in the JCR: PLoS ONE, Mathematics, Open Mathematics, Discrete Dynamics in Nature and Society. His main lines of research are three: modeling and simulation, robotics, and approximate solution of nonlinear differential and integral equations.
