LINE OF RESEARCH 1: AGRO-ALIMENTARY HEALTH, SAFETY AND QUALITY
Research focuses on the analysis, and integration of the epidemiology of the main zoonoses and other infectious diseases in domestic and free-living animals and the measures to curb their transmissibility. This includes biosecurity, health promotion, chemoprophylaxis, quarantine measures, early diagnosis, hygiene, and public health interventions.
Likewise, on the microbiological and chemical health and safety of foods of animal origin, natural and processed, to guarantee their quality. This involves promoting safer productions methods suitable for human consumption through risk estimation, for the benefit of producers, consumers, and the industry.

LINE OF RESEARCH 2: ANIMAL WELFARE, BEHAVIOUR AND PRODUCTION
This line focuses on the research on animal welfare and its relationship with behavior and/or production in domestic and wild animals. The goal is to achieve better coexistence with humans and their sustainable management of animal populations, for the benefit of humans, the animals themselves, and the environment.
