Dr. Nancy Pérez Castro
Nancy Pérez-Castro holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, formerly the Artificial Intelligence Research Center, at the University of Veracruz. In 2013, she earned an M.Sc. in Applied Computing from the National Advanced Computing Laboratory (LANIA) in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, and in 2009, she earned a B.Sc. in Computer Systems from the University of Veracruz. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, University of Veracruz, from January 2026 to December 2028. She is a Level I member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers and Investigators (SNII), a regular member of the Mexican Academy of Computer Science, and treasurer of the Mexican Society of Computer Science. Her research interests include green artificial intelligence, computational intelligence, and automated machine learning.
