The General Lines of Knowledge Application (LGAC, by its acronym in Spanish) that are established for the study of live in his postgraduate are complementary, considering that at present, it‘s essential to study the biological systems contemplating impact and dynamics of the human..

LGAC1 Systemic biology. Systemic biology is a research line to the study of diverse ecosystems, with an integral posture considering the disciplines: evolution, systematics, physiology, terrestrial ecology, aquatic ecology, among others. These disciplines allow the integration of knowledge in the management and conservation of biological diversity involving bioethical aspects.

LGAC2 Biocultural studies. This research line integrates the interaction between biological systems and biocultural systems through humanistic disciplines considering: anthropological, sociological, philosophical aspects, among others; to understand the change and dynamics of biological systems. Furthermore considers the values that these represent to social groups, from a bioethical, economic and environmental position.

The graduate will perform the biological systems study based on interaction in diverse levels of complexity, as well as the relationship with biocultural aspects, that will allow determine the current situation from a regional and global perspective.
