Admission Process
The procedures for admission to the program shall be carried out in accordance with the following guidelines:
- Register for the EXANI-III examination (National Postgraduate Admissions Examination).
- Complete the required payment.
- Fulfill the requirements set forth in the current call for applications.
Submitting the following documents is a mandatory requirement for enrollment. Registration shall be processed through the respective Academic Entity; accepted students must contact the Educational Program Coordinator or the administrative liaison in charge of this process (email: clmendez@uv.mx).
- Hold a bachelor’s degree. In the event that the degree has not yet been conferred, applicants must comply with the provisions of Articles 21, 22, and 23 of the 2008 Student Statute.
- Official complete transcript of records (apostilled for international students).
- Minimum grade point average of 8.0 or equivalent.
- Statement of purpose outlining their vocation and interest in specializing in this field.
- Take the EXANI-III examination.
- Take the English language proficiency certification exam (EXAVER II or equivalent).
- Curriculum Vitae along with supporting documentation.
- Research proposal.
Degree Conferral Process
As stipulated in the 2023 General Regulations for Postgraduate Studies of the Universidad Veracruzana, ARTICLES 63, 64, AND 65—quoting the latter—the requirements that students must fulfill to take the examination for the award of the diploma or academic degree are as follows:
- Have successfully completed all coursework and academic activities established in the curriculum of the respective educational program;
- Submit the certificate of studies for the completed postgraduate program;
III. Submit the passing votes of the examining committee;
- Submit the letter of responsibility annexed to these regulations, signed by the Director of the Reception Work;
- Endorsement from the Technical Council or equivalent body, in the event that the regulatory timeframe for taking the examination has been exceeded;
- Have no outstanding debts or financial obligations to the Universidad Veracruzana;
VII. Pay the corresponding fees; and
VIII. Any other requirements stipulated by university regulations.
It should be noted that the timeline for this process is subject to Article 69 of the 2023 General Regulations for Postgraduate Studies of the Universidad Veracruzana.
