Students may request a change of one member of their Tutorial Committee (Tutor, Thesis Director, Advisors) only once, by submitting a formal letter to the Technical Council, with a copy to the Graduate Coordination Office, as established in Article 51 of the 2010 General Graduate Studies Regulations. The request must provide valid reasons for the change and must be made within the first two semesters of the MINESE program.
Student Mobility
Graduate student mobility can be institutional, national, or international, according to the 2008 Student Statute (Art. 61) and the Mobility Regulations. For MINESE, which has a duration of four semesters, mobility is allowed for a maximum of one semester (six months total).
Basic requirements for applicants:
-
Be enrolled in the current MINESE term.
-
If requesting financial support through PROMUV, meet the minimum grade point and other requirements specified in the call.
-
Have successfully completed 100% of the Educational Experiences in the Disciplinary Area, which in MINESE consists of four mandatory first-semester courses.
-
For international mobility, provide language certification of the host country (a minimum level of English is required for Spanish-speaking countries).
-
Have no outstanding debts at Universidad Veracruzana.
Procedure within IIESES for MINESE student mobility:
-
The student must inform the MINESE Coordination Office in writing of their interest in conducting a research stay or taking a course at a department of Universidad Veracruzana or elsewhere, with the approval of their Thesis Director, and provide justification for the request. For external courses, the student must submit the “External Course Approval Form”, and for research stays, the “Work Plan Form” along with an acceptance letter from the researcher supervising the stay. Both forms are obtained from the MINESE Coordination Office.
-
If the mobility involves leaving the city and/or country, the student must obtain the necessary permits and support through the University Mobility Program (PROMUV) or any other relevant institution or foundation.
-
All courses or research stays at another department must be validated by the Technical Council.
-
Upon completion of the mobility activity, the student must submit a certified proof of successful completion and request approval from the Technical Council for course recognition or credit validation, in accordance with the current regulations.
