The International Jazzuv Festival
The International Jazzuv Festival is carried out every year in Xalapa city and its outskirts. The Festival gathers a variety of musicians, multidisciplinary artists, writers, and people in charge of the spreading of Jazz culture.
One of the main objectives of Jazzuv project is to spread Jazz music in its multiple facets and musical mixtures. In that way, it would be more accessible for the general audience.
The first edition of the International Jazzuv Festival (2008), encouraged interaction between musicians, audience, teaching staff, students, writers, guests artists and journalists among others.
After three editions of the festival, it is seen as one of the most important Jazz festivals in México. Due to the great quality of the festival and its innovative projects it has caught the attention in an international level.
The festival counts with different activities such as: indoor and outdoor concerts; master classes, jam sessions, debates, exhibitions of different disciplines, lectures, book launches, plays and films. Those activities are mostly free or at a low cost and that influence on the publicity of the festival.
The combination of all these aspects has become this festival as a unique opportunity for human interaction, learning and team work. As a result, the International Jazzuv Festival is a high quality event for audience of all ages and all tastes.
