Research and Knowledge Application Lines
The Doctoral Program has three Research and Knowledge Application Lines (LGAC):
a) Health Psychology
To generate original research on the etiology, prevention, and treatment of phenomena related to the health–illness process, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyles that contribute to people’s psychological, subjective, and physical well-being, from diverse theoretical perspectives such as behaviorism, cognitivism, humanism, psychoanalysis, among others.

b) Social Psychology
To generate original research on the psychological understanding of group, social, community, and institutional phenomena, contributing to a better analysis, understanding, and explanation of their origin, development, and evolution—whether manifest or latent—with the aim of producing scientific knowledge that helps propose innovative alternatives in different social contexts that promote the integral development of human beings.

c) Psychoanalysis
To generate original research—derived both from interventions with individuals and from theoretical work—on individual or collective unconscious phenomena, based on psychoanalytic concepts that theorize different forms of suffering arising from the contemporary social bond. This research line is grounded in the methodological principles considered by psychoanalysis, while remaining open to possible connections with other disciplines, from which commonalities and differences in the ways of approaching research problems may be discussed.
