The US studies Conference will open at the Museum of Anthropology on Friday evening, April 19th with a photo exhibition showing images of the September 11th attacks at the World Trade Center and attendance of the us Embassy representatives. A formal reception will follow.

The conference will provide the university and regional community with a rich program on the culture, politics, and arts of the United States. This week- long event will include a number of lectures by scholars from the United States and Mexico, a political and literature film series, a concert by famous us musician Donal Lease, and a Rock and Roll and Popular Art exhibit.
