About the facilitator:

Lilia S. Borquez Morales has been a language teacher and a teacher educator for more than 30 years and has taught national and international students and teachers in Mexico, Costa Rica, and England. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics for English Teaching from the University of Southampton, the U.K. and a Masters in Applied Linguistics from the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico. She has a fellowship with the Higher Education Academy in England and has been awarded with recognitions such as SNI and Hornby Educational Trust award. Her research interests include teachers’ beliefs, teacher development, agency, decoloniality, social justice in education, Artificial Intelligence, and integrable language teaching. She has presented and published her work in America and Europe and leads research projects on Teaching, Professional Teacher Development, and The impact of Beliefs on the Teaching practice.
