Research lines

Within this postgraduate program, three Research lines have been developed, which, by the activities carried out in the academic groups and the objectives of the postgraduate program, support the academic development and completion of the thesis of students seeking to support the link with the productive and social sectors related to horticulture; in addition, they participate in technology transfer projects, horticultural crop production, and the rescue of traditional indigenous medicine, among others.

These Research lines and their objectives are:

  1. Use and conservation of horticultural resources: this seeks to develop and apply technologies for the acquisition, safeguarding, protection of rights, use, and conservation of horticultural resources.
  2. Protection and improvement of horticultural resources: this aims to develop and apply technologies for the improvement and sanitary protection of commercially interesting horticultural crops.
  3. Management and competitiveness of horticultural resources: this seeks to develop and apply technologies and market tools for integral, sustainable management and added value incorporation of horticultural resources.
