Realiz\u00f3 la maestr\u00eda en Manejo Ambiental en la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid, Espa\u00f1a en 1998. En 2005 realiz\u00f3 el doctorado en Ciencias Ambientales en la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Catalu\u00f1a, Espa\u00f1a. Para 2010 realiz\u00f3 el Post Doctorado en Adaptaci\u00f3n al Cambio Clim\u00e1tico por la Universidad National Center for Atmospheric Research. Sus principales l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n son los M\u00e9todos de Investigaci\u00f3n para la Valoraci\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica de los Ecosistemas e Impacto Ambiental y la Generaci\u00f3n de Pol\u00edticas P\u00fablicas Ecol\u00f3gicas y Ambientales. Actualmente es Investigador SNI 1 del CONACyT\u00a0 (periodo enero de 2016 a diciembre de 2018), miembro del Consejo T\u00e9cnico Acad\u00e9mico de la Red de Desastres Asociados a Fen\u00f3menos Hidrometeorol\u00f3gicos y Clim\u00e1ticos (REDESClim) perteneciente a CONACyT y Consejero Maestro del H.
