The LatAm COIL Network is pleased to announce its third conference, which will take place virtually from June 12 to 16, 2023.
The central theme of the conference is “COIL after the pandemic: Where are we going?
We are expecting participants from around the world, not just from our region.
We invite submissions of high-quality, novel, and original contributions in areas related to COIL Virtual Exchange in one of the following questions:
- Has COIL pedagogy changed due to the pandemic?
- How is COIL impacting other areas of the university?
- In what ways is COIL professional development changing?
- Are new forms of virtual exchange emerging?
- Should there be standards in COIL VE? If so, which standards should be developed to facilitate assessment in COIL?
- How can we embed and empower COIL at an institutional level?
Proposals must be submitted for one of these four possible formats responding to one of the previous questions:
Ignite session: 7 minute presentation made by an individual.
Two-person course sessions: 40 minute presentations about research and/or COIL practices. If two people present, the two of them should pay the registration fee.
Panel discussions: 60 minute presentations by 3 to 4 people, with a minimum of 20 minutes left for interactive dialogue with session attendees.
Workshops: One hour and a half to four hours for training activities. Workshops should actively engage the participants and must include interactive work between those attending.
Submission Guidelines
Authors should provide the title of their presentation; and submit a short abstract of 75 words for the program and a long abstract of 500 words for evaluation; the names and affiliations of the presenters, and a 75 word bio.
