The EDI Symposium is a space for dialogue and reflection on the contents of public policy to promote gender equality in HEIs, including a critical assessment of the role of men in various forms of violence and discrimination, together with the topic of co-responsibility in care.
It will seek to evaluate problems and actions related to human rights and protocols for addressing violence against women, highlighting commitments and pending issues, as well as the impact that feminisms have had on the transformation of academia within HEIs and outside institutional spaces.
Finally, gender inequalities in HEIs will be analyzed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects, widespread and generalized, considering the differentiated impacts of the health emergency in academic life as a whole, as well as in personal life spaces.
