She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA. Her research interests are language learning beliefs and how they relate to actions, emotions and identities in the social context of language learning and teaching. She has edited and co-edited the following books: (with Paula Kalaja) Beliefs about SLA: New research approaches by Kluwer (2003); In Brazil, Beliefs and Language teaching: focus on students, teachers and teacher educator, (2006) (with Maria Helena Vieira Abrah\u00e3o); and with Paula Kalaja and Vera Menezes, Narratives of learning and teaching EFL by Palgrave\/MacMillan, 2008. Her most recent book co-edited with Paula Kalaja, Maria Ruohotie-Lyhty and Mari Aro is Beliefs, Agency and Identity in Foreign Language Learning and Teaching by Palgrave\/MacMillan 2016.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/ciile\/files\/2017\/12\/Jose-Luis-Ortega.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/ciile\/files\/2017\/12\/Jose-Luis-Ortega-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-1164\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify\"> <strong>Dr Jos\u00e9 Luis Ortega<\/strong> is an Associate Professor at the University of Granada (TEFL), awarded with the Outstanding Doctorate Award for his PhD Thesis in 2003. Dr. Ortega Mart\u00edn was Vice Dean in charge of International Relations from 2004 to 2008, and the Head of in-service training form 2011 to 2015. He was also the Head of a private school in Granada from 1994 to 2003. At present, Dr. Ortega Mart\u00edn is in charge of the international relations of the Master on Secondary Education (University of Granada) and Secretary of the Local Organising Committee of the International Learning Conferences held in Granada (2005), Montego Bay (Jamaica, 2006), the International Social Science Conference held in Granada in 2007 and the International Conference on Diversity (2016). He is Member of scientific committees of several international journals. Dr Ortega has given conferences and taught at more than 10 European and American universities. Concerning publications, Dr. Ortega has written and participated in more than 50 publications including books, chapters of books and several papers related to bilingualism, TEFL, teacher training, classroom management, motivation, amongst other topics. Dr. Ortega has supervised 9 doctoral theses and is the leader of a national research project in Spain on Bilingualism funded by the British Council and the Spanish Ministry of Education.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/ciile\/files\/2017\/12\/Dario-Banegas.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/ciile\/files\/2017\/12\/Dario-Banegas-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-1161\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Dar\u00edo Luis Banegas<\/strong> es doctor en ling\u00fc\u00edstica aplicada por la Universidad de Warwick (Reino Unido). En Argentina se desempe\u00f1a como docente formador del Profesorado de Ingl\u00e9s en donde imparte las materias de Introducci\u00f3n a la Ling\u00fc\u00edstica, Gram\u00e1tica Funcional y Socioling\u00fc\u00edstica. Adem\u00e1s es Coordinador del Programa de Investigaci\u00f3n en el Instituto Superior de Formaci\u00f3n Docente N\u00b0 809 (Esquel). El Dr. Banegas pertenece al Equipo T\u00e9cnico del \u00c1rea de Ingl\u00e9s del Ministerio de Educaci\u00f3n del Chubut desde donde desarroll\u00f3 los dise\u00f1os curriculares para ingl\u00e9s en la educaci\u00f3n primaria, secundaria, y formaci\u00f3n docente inicial. Dar\u00edo Banegas es profesor visitante en universidades en Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Espa\u00f1a y el Reino Unido. Es docente externo en la Universidad de Warwick. Desde 2013 es el editor de la Argentinian Journal of Applied Linguistics, dependiente de la Federaci\u00f3n Argentina de Asociaciones de Profesores de Ingl\u00e9s. Sus publicaciones incluyen: rese\u00f1as de libros, art\u00edculos acad\u00e9micos en revistas internacionales, y coordinador de libros sobre formaci\u00f3n docente inicial y desarrollo profesional docente en la ense\u00f1anza del ingl\u00e9s. Sus intereses de investigaci\u00f3n son: investigaci\u00f3n-acci\u00f3n, formaci\u00f3n docente inicial, y CLIL (Content and language integrated learning).<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/ciile\/files\/2017\/12\/Francisco-Lorenzo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/ciile\/files\/2017\/12\/Francisco-Lorenzo-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-1162\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Francisco Lorenzo<\/strong> es profesor titular en la Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Sevilla). Ha sido investigador invitado en el departamento de Ling\u00fc\u00edstica de la Universidad de Harvard, el Instituto de Educaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Londres y el Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ling\u00fc\u00edstica Aplicada (Universidad de Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, Finlandia).<br \/>\nCuenta con numerosos art\u00edculos en revistas cient\u00edficas como Applied Linguistics, European Journal of Language Policy, Language and Education, Journal of Bilingualism, System, Language Policy o Linguistics and Education. Es autor de Motivaci\u00f3n y Segundas Lenguas (Arcolibro, 2006), Educaci\u00f3n Biling\u00fce (S\u00edntesis, 2011) y Competencia Comunicativa en Espa\u00f1ol L2 (Edinumen, 2004). En la actualidad es co-editor invitado de un volumen doble monogr\u00e1fico sobre Languages of Schooling que se publicar\u00e1 en European Journal of Applied Linguistics.<br \/>\nDirige diez tesis doctorales sobre educaci\u00f3n biling\u00fce, evaluaci\u00f3n ling\u00fc\u00edstica, ordenaci\u00f3n educativa, pol\u00edticas ling\u00fc\u00edsticas y sociolog\u00eda del lenguaje. Es miembro del comit\u00e9 director del European Language Council.<br \/>\nHa participado en numerosos proyectos del European Language Council, el Organismo Aut\u00f3nomo de Programas Europeos de Educaci\u00f3n (OAPEE) del Ministerio de Educaci\u00f3n y la Consejer\u00eda de Educaci\u00f3n de la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda. En la actualidad es investigador principal del proyecto I+D de Excelencia del Ministerio de Econom\u00eda, Industria y Competitividad (2016-2020) titulado BIMAP (Mapa del lenguaje acad\u00e9mico en educaci\u00f3n biling\u00fce (2016-2020) donde coordina el trabajo de investigadores de la Universidad de M\u00e1laga, Granada y universidades alemanas, austriacas y finlandesas.<br \/>\nHa realizado gesti\u00f3n en estudios de posgrado en su universidad. Ha sido director del M\u00e1ster de Ense\u00f1anza de Espa\u00f1ol, del Master Oficial de Ense\u00f1anza Biling\u00fce y, por \u00faltimo, del M\u00e1ster Oficial de Formaci\u00f3n del Profesorado de Secundaria y Ense\u00f1anza de Idiomas. Desde 2000 a 2012 dirigi\u00f3 el Centro de Idiomas de su universidad desde donde colabor\u00f3 con la Agencia del Conocimiento de Andaluc\u00eda en el desarrollo de programas de acreditaci\u00f3n ling\u00fc\u00edstica. Ha sido miembro de la junta directiva de la Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Ling\u00fc\u00edstica Aplicada y dirigi\u00f3 en 2014 su congreso internacional titulado Industrias de la Lengua y Cambio Social.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/ciile\/files\/2018\/01\/IMG-20171217-WA0002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uv.mx\/ciile\/files\/2018\/01\/IMG-20171217-WA0002-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-1168\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Mar\u00eda Claudia Nieto <\/strong>es egresada del Programa de Lenguas Extranjeras de la Universidad de los Andes y es Magister en ESP (Ingl\u00e9s con Prop\u00f3sitos Espec\u00edficos) de la Universidad de Warwick, Inglaterra. Ha desarrollado su carrera profesional en ingl\u00e9s con prop\u00f3sitos espec\u00edficos, ingl\u00e9s con prop\u00f3sitos generales,  educaci\u00f3n en ingl\u00e9s para docentes en formaci\u00f3n y en ejercicio y en la coordinaci\u00f3n de diversos programas entre los que se incluyen el espa\u00f1ol como lengua extranjera y el programa de segunda lengua en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Es profesora asociada de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y co-investigadora de los grupos de investigaci\u00f3n PROFILE (Profesores de Ingl\u00e9s Lengua Extranjera) y LEXI (Lenguas Extranjeras e Investigaci\u00f3n).
