The World Trade Center-Veracruz is one of the most important meeting and exhibition facilities in Mexico. It is located in the modern area of Veracruz - Boca del Río, close to main hotels and shopping centers, 15 minutes from the Heriberto Jara International Airport.

Accomodation. Ten four-star or five-star hotels offer special rates for participants in the Biennial Congress of the IOHE. The first five hotels on the attached list are within walking distance of the World Trade Center (WTC). The other five hotels are five minutes away by car. Reservations must be made through the agency Centro de Reservaciones Internacionales, S.A. de C.V. (information below).

Registration. The services of an agency have been retained for Congress and hotel registrations. Registration and payments for the Congress and hotel reservations can be made by fax or via the Internet at the following address:

* A guest is a person who is accompanying a registrant and does not take part in the academic activities of the Congress.

The cut-off date for registration by fax or Internet is Friday, October 31st, 2003. After this date, registrations can only be processed at the registration desk located at the World Trade Center.

The Registration Fee for members and non-members includes a nametag, airport-hotel shuttle service, all Congress documents, admission to all academic events, coffee breaks, access to the IOHE-Expo, welcoming cocktail on Sunday November 9th, lunch on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (November 10th, 11th and 12th), and dinner on Monday and Tuesday November 10th and 11th.

The Registration Fee for guests includes a nametag, airport-hotel shuttle service, access to the IOHE-Expo, welcoming cocktail on Sunday November 9th, dinner on Tuesday, November 11th and two daytime tours to Puerto de Veracruz on Monday and Tuesday November 10th and 11th.

The Registration Fee for students includes a nametag, all Congress documents, admission to all academic events, coffee breaks and access to the IOHE-Expo.

Interpretation. There will be simultaneous interpretation in the four official languages of the IOHE (French, English, Spanish and Portuguese) during plenary sessions.

Transportation. Transportation between the airport and the hotel will be provided for all congress participants who confirm arrival and departure information by October 31st with the agency responsible for the registration process (Centro de Reservaciones Internacionales, S.A. de C.V.).

Transportation will be provided between hotels and the location of the welcoming cocktail on November 9th and the dinner on November 11th.

Temperature. In November, daytime temperatures generally range between 20 and 32°C, with cooler evenings. Cotton or linen garments are recommended, as well as a windbreaker to protect from seasonal winds from the Gulf of Mexico, occasionally accompanied by rain.

Program for guests. The guest program proposes tours to the most interesting sites of the region: Castillo de San Juan de Ulúa, Baluarte de Santiago, Veracruz Aquarium and the historical center of Puerto de Veracruz. Meals are not included.
