ABOUT THE IOHE

          Created in Quebec City in 1979, the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) is an association of close to 400 universities from the entire American continent. The mission of IOHE is to promote cooperation between member institutions and foster the development of higher education in the Americas. The Organization holds a general congress every two years. The first congress took place in Quebec City and since then, these biennial events have been held in each of the eight regions that constitute our Organization: Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, Andean Countries, the Southern Cone and Brazil.
